Introduction

Rajah, Commission

I paint animal portraits in watercolor, mostly from private commissions.  I've been painting ever since I learned to sit still, and thanks to my amazingly talented aunt, I learned the subtle beauty and exciting unpredictable nature of watercolor, and have been in love ever since.

I cherish every chance I get to paint.  I'm not able to paint as much as I would like, but the distractions that impede my painting are well worth it :)  I married my favorite person about 2 1/2 years ago.  We had been engaged for 3 months, and met 3 weeks before the proposal.  I like to tell the story, not because its haste sparks interest, but because it speaks to how we truly believe we were made for each other, and how blessed we were to realize that right away.  Our little bundle arrived two weeks before our first anniversary.  Now Eilie Clare is almost 1 1/2, and  keeping our hearts full of joy, our pocketbook full of air, and our apartment full of toys.  Becoming parents has been quite the transition for us, and that's saying something considered we've moved 6 times and held over 9 jobs combined in less than 3 years.  But we wouldn't change a thing, and holy cow our daughter is the most precious thing on the planet.

I look forward to sharing tidbits of my life and pictures of my paintings with you!
